all junk food and no exercise maketh angel a sick girl

its hard trying to write about something good and something not so good all in the same post. here goes, anyways.

the weekend was fantabulous. just full out relaxing, just what every person should have. i didn't go to zoukout, but when i woke up post-zoukout morning, looked out the window and saw that the ground was wet, i think i laughed as hard as a just-wake-up person could muster.

*evil*

well. like i said, if you're gonnabe at a beach in a bikini, why not get wet, right?

anyway.

the parentals came back from malacca today (part of why my weekend was go good) and brought with them some bad news.

my beloved uncle, who recently bought a house in malacca in which he has decided to spend his golden years with his wife, had a heart attack while my parents were there.

it was so serious that the doctor said he couldn't be moved from the hospital at all for the next two months. his ballooning was today. he had two blockages.

and on the same day that he was hospitalised, my aunt was so traumatised that she had a violent asthma attack. in my mother's words "she was lying on the couch and couldnt move". my poor aunt couldnt even make it to the hospital to see her hubby.

sigh.

i can tell my parents are quite shaken up by the whole thing. especially since they're all about the same age, and whats more, they were there when it all happened.

my dad kept mumbling these one-liners to nobody in particular while the three of us were watching tv just now..

"...must eat healthy already..."

"...must exercise already..."

"... no more mutton..." (the aunt and uncle were indian, and had curry and mutton v often)

"...tomorrow i buy more fruits....must eat more fruits..."

mom and i continue watching the screen until..

"...must become vegetarian..."

there was a pregnant silence as my mother and i looked up from the tv. i guess she was silently saying goodbye to her children telling her her chicken/mutton/beef was excellent, while i was silently saying goodbye to dinners at home.
