Evening is such a beautiful time of day.

There's nothing quite like sitting on a bus back home, at 6, watching as everyone's hair glints and shimmers a radiant auburn in the setting sun. Sun that doesn't annoy the newly-awakened eye, nor does it scorch the afternoon workers. Sun that strangely gives off enough warmth without even bordering hot. Everyone seems tired, but happy, that the long, cruel monday is now over, and faces depict not fatigue, but more of a contented relief.

Somehow you can feel the world slowing down, and almost hear a collective sigh -- a sigh that accompanies the natural unwinding that comes with eveningtime. Its as if as the sun takes its well-deserved break, so does humankind.

Its nice to look around on the bus and see not hostility or frustration in the faces of the passengers but rather a sort of calmness and quiet serenity. so, so different from what you see in the mornings.

Maybe its just me, maybe its just today, or maybe its the mellow tunes of Coldplay that is playing in my discman that is effecting this...

But whatever it is, its beautiful, and I'm going to enjoy, and treasure it.
