Sometimes you have to speak mandarin

Me: uncle, red dot building pls. At tanjong pagar.
Cabbie: ok. Btw, what colour is the building ah?
Me: red...
Cabbie: I know you are going to red dot at maxwell there, but what colour is the building? Is it the white one?
Me: ...red.
Cabbie (gets frustrated): you don't understand me! What colour is the building you are going to!

This went on for awhile until I said: "the colour of red dot building is red. Hong se, hong se, uncle!"
