it's been sucha beautiful day.
had a press conference to attend at the asian civilization museum this morning, and since i was early, i decided to grab a trusty can of nescafe and take a little stroll along the river.
my word, its times like these when you feel hey, its not so bad living here in Singapore after all.
the clear sky, the nice architecture, the slight breeze, the quiet calm as you watch the little ripples tell stories on the water just... makes your day.
just wished my camera wasn't broken so i could take a picture.
in other news, i had to cover a gala dinner last night where the who's who in the industry were present in all their hoity-toity glory.
i'm sure the organising committee meant well when they asked all the men to come in formal wear and all the ladies to be in "shades of white", but the first thing i thought of when i got there was:
mass wedding.
honestly, all the ladies wore really gorgeous and expensive-looking white dresses, but when you have hundreds of them paired up with hundreds of men in suits in one hall, it just looks like.. well, a mass wedding!
thankfully, neither i nor any other member of the press bothered with the dress code. somehow, i think WE stood out more in our colours than all the sequined gowns and glittered hair... heh. and guess who in pants and jeans beat those in glam gowns to the dessert buffet?? aHA.
okay i'm rambling because i'm actually not really feeling well but can't turn in yet because my hair is still wet.
in anycase, sitting out on the ledge in the rain with you... the perfect way to end a perfect day.
well, almost, anyway. :P
