i have cable tv!! such terrible timing since i'm right in the middle of my exams. i tell you, being an auntie (in the singaporean sense) can be the best thing in the world.

y'see, i had subscribed to cable at first as a present for my dad from my brother and i, but my dad being the miserly chinese jew that he is refused it so adamantly that i had to cancel it even before it was installed. (don't ask me what the problem is, i am paying for it anyway). so the good people at starhub, being all on the ball about it kept calling us and asking us why we cancelled the service. this is where you be "auntie" about things. at a pasar malam (or flea market, or anywhere you can strike a bargain with the shop owner)when the shop owner quotes you a price, even if its the best price you've ever heard in your life, you pull on a face and pretend to walk away in disgust until the shop owner quotes an even more ridiculously low price.

which is what my dad did. he actually told them it was too expensive and "who going to pay, you ah?" so. now we have cable, at a new lower price. which is great for my pocket, but oh so bad for my exams.

speaking of which, 3 down, one more to go. 6th of may,here i come.
