can i just say that Lynn and Alex, the gay couple in the Amazing Race 3 have to be THE sweetest couple ever. i haven't seen such patience, encouragement, affirmation and comfort being dished out so generously, EVER.

its just the sweetest thing. they were at a road block and Alex had to drive a stick which he was absolutely bad at, and had to keep getting out of the car to use the jeep and remove some logs. it was obvious that Alex was feeling inadequate and was sure he was going to cost them the race cuz he was going so slowly and had a flat tyre. BUT! Lynn was just the sweetest. he was so so patient, so encouraging and actually got OUT of the car to accompany alex with the logs (he wasn't allowed to help)encouraging him all the way. and then when the task was done and Lynn was back behind the wheel, he kept telling alex (oh so sincerely) that it was alright even if they were last, the fact was that alex did "absolutely fabulous, honey", and he was never more proud of him.

all together now: "awwwww" :)

all this while the other teams (except rob and amber) were BICKERING like crazy, being curt with each other, calling each other names, yelling at each other to hurry the hell up while NOT getting out of the car at all to support the other teammate when removing the logs.

straight relationships? overrated. (yes, purplemoon, u can stop saying "i told you so" now)

hey man, even my mother, whom i THINK has to be the most homophobic person in the universe (not because she thinks its wrong or gross but cuz she doesnt know how to deal with them) kept saying that lynn and alex were just so sweet and so much better as a couple than the rest.

they so deserved not to be last. :D the shocked faces and the incredulous AND simultaneous "what?!" they said when they heard they weren't last was just classic ;)

that was heartwarming. *warmfuzzyfeelings all around* and now its back to work.
