wow. a longer one and a half weeks have never been. i'm still sitting here, SUPPOSEDLY reading Shakespeare's sonnets, but am tapping my fingers wondering why next friday (read: end of exams) hasn't happened yet. HURRY THE HELL UP ALREADY!

anyways, i had one of the best birthdays in the longest time. i had a nice surprise cake the night before, then the day was spent at the eyebrow place and then shopping with xinwei after, then the BEST dinner at home ever. chili crab, mussels, tom yam soup and so much more i can't remember now, plus ice-cream cake and champagne to finish it all off. God knows how i managed to fit into a new top after, where we kicked back at alleybar just vick xinwei and myself (and the S-Others)for an impromtu drink. it was the perfect small affair, cosy just how i like it. *BEAM*

and today was such a great day too, although we got all dolled up to be told about an hour before our reservation time that the restaurant just wasn't going to be able to accomodate us because it was just too full. so instead of a fancy restaurant we headed for sushi and some chocolate fondue instead, all decked out in dresses and shirts. ah well, we might've been overdressed, but hey, at least we knew we didn't look shabby.

all in all it was a great weekend. i think i might be out of the birthdays-are-shit-times-of-the-year mode (for those of you who remember the drama of last year, say it with me now: YIKES.) birthdays provide a great excuse to grab the friends and get together, i say.

wait a min, "post-exam" is another great excuse to get together too. *eyes start to shine* just one more paper left!
