Here's to grabbing life by the nether regions and new experiences like sitting in a rubber tube and floating down a famous river, climbing on a deathtrap and going too fast, eating pizza toppings that might make me see things that aren't there, exploring the country on pushbikes, jumping into waterfalls and drinking cheap beer till I go blind! Okay, that last one is an old experience, but one that is still highly cherished.
Don't worry, I am very careful (read: paranoid) and have travel insurance as backup.
I'm grateful to have a job that allows me to sod off work long enough to experience these things. And someone to experience these things with. And a family that nags, but sends me their blessings anyway because they know I won't be happy without the occasional trip beyond these shores. And friends who I will miss and who will miss me, including those that have vowed to maim people responsible should I come home with as much as a scratch. Yes Mindy, be careful. Elaine knows where you live.
