i want edward cullen's ability

i'm sitting here, staring at a scheduled phoner in my calendar, happy music playing in my ears when i'm suddenly struck with one question: what do you want?

and it's strange because while i began wanting to know just one person's wishes, it quickly became a desire to want to know what everybody wants. it seems everyone wants something at this point, from me or otherwise, and i'm just not sure what it is.

this is more disconcerting that i expected.
