just another manic monday

1. completely sleep through alarm, wake up late and in panic.
2. hot water in the shower decides not to work.
3. listen to 'manic monday' on the radio. these radio folk think they're damn funny.
3. spend way too much money cabbing to work but arrive on time! yay!
4. decide to go to toilet because computer is taking a squillion years to download 351 emails.
5. nozzle on soap in toilet is stuck such that when i press for soap, it squirts on my shirt instead of in my hands. great.
6. wash soap out of tee shirt and walk around with wet spot on shirt for most of morning.
7. thank God not wearing white, but navy blue.
8. search through server for work that was supposed to be submitted.
9. don't find it and apologise to JY for texting him while on his trip but where did he save it cuz i can't find it?
10. near explode when he texts back to say he forgot.
11. send disappointed text back.
12. stare at screen for next 10mins marvelling at amount of work to be done. decide to go on twitter instead.
11. realise it is only 9.50am.

the rest of the day took a turn for the better tho. i actually managed to finish everything i set out to do (one full feature, 7 stories for the newsletter and the rest of the sections) by a fairly decent time so i'm pleased.

on another note, the family's going through a bit of a tough time right now where all we can do is wait. its like you're behind a really thick glass watching a really blind kid grope around for his glasses after dropping them. he can't hear you even if you scream that it's behind him and all u can do is wait and see if he'll step on it or find it.
