mad scramble

whoever said that people would be refreshed and raring to go after a long break was clearly delusional. not that i'm saying i would rather not have had the break (because it was a wonderful, blessed break), i'm just saying that getting my growing ass out of bed and into the shower this morning was more than a little impossible.

and i truly, truly found out the meaning of 'hit the ground running' after the computer finally started up (it too, took a break and didn't want to come back) and i got over my mini-heart attack at the number of emails i had to deal with. Hit The Ground Running, baby.

suddenly, its half-past noon, i haven't had any writing done and feel like i've worked for a week.

i am ever so slightly scared. this is why you should never slack off at work. especially when there's a long holiday ahead. because it all comes to bite you in the ass.

okay. time to do some serious writing. *glances at mountain* oh goodness. where do i start.

update: hmm. maybe i'm the only one who feels like i'm going out of my mind, because i received an email from TheBestFriend saying she's feeling "incredibly rejuvenated" and was the "first one in the office this morning". and she isn't even being sarcastic.

bah.
