i've always enjoyed my overseas business trips. but i'm seriously not looking forward to this next one.
i'll have just been assigned a coverstory in bkk. only, my deadline for submission was a month ago.
how long is my extension? two days. two days to finish writing (6-8 magazine pages), sending it back to the office for production, editing, proofreading, client editing and making changes.
time to flex those late-night-essay-writing-in-NUS-canteen-finger muscles.
and thats not even the worst part yet. the worst part of it all is that i'm going to get blamed for getting the magazine out late. how am i to get a whole cover story done when its assigned to me a month past deadline? it really isn't my fault that marketing decided to sign a cover story so late in the month. is it marketing's fault? no, their job is already done. everyone's only waiting for me.
okay i'm getting really ranty so i shall stop here. besides, i don't think i made much sense.
in other news, my strength has returned from Australia. was so good to see her last night, i still can't believe she's back. happy birthday, babette, i love u. hope you had a good one today.
