so far, so good.

so i went home straight after work yesterday, the first time i did that in what feels like eons.

and i forgot how WONDERFUL my mom's cooking is. simple though it was, i just couldn't get enough. bee hoon AND kway teow, stir fried veggies, sliced pork and eggs in black sauce and sweet and sour fish. the best chinese food in town. just you wait for the indian/eurasian cuisine... best in singapore, hands down.

after which, we all let our over-stuffed tummies digest over a coupla rounds of gin rummy ("YOu ah! we haven't played in so long why? because our 4th kaki always not around" tsk. 3 people also can play what, guilt tripper.)

i think i lost about 5 bucks, and won a lot of love.

being with the family rocks. nobody judges you, everyone is genuinely interested in how work is and all advice is dished out because they sincerely want you to have a better life.

*pencils into to-do-list* must spend more time with family.

the weekend was not too bad, either. managed to meet the girls for dinner and go to cocco. surprisingly, we managed to catch up quite a bit (or at least i managed to get the scoop, since mel and xinwei work together). dinner at pizza-place and bumping into secondary school ah-lian friend-now-policewoman-was tres exciting.

cocco was more funny than anything, i think. because we saw many.. uhm, interesting things. like a very short couple trying their hardest to thrust their tongues as far back into the other's throat as possible, whilst grinding. i swear there was not an atom of air between their uhm, pelvic region. oh and to make matters worse, they insisted on looking shorter by 'dancing'/grinding with their legs wiiiide apart.

oh and of course, i don't think we'd ever forget how someone was served ribena. PLAIN ribena. *snigger*

rainy tuesday afternoon. free flow steak and martinis after work with the girls? sounds bloody brilliant.
